Young People's Services

For young people, aged 11 to 25, we have a number of different services. These include recovery-focused individual support, self-management courses, peer mentor support, and individual support for young people undergoing transitions (such as changing schools, starting college, or moving to adult mental health services).

Changing Minds Project

Changing Minds websiteWe provide support for young people aged 16-25 in Newport who are experiencing mental health difficulties. Changing Minds offers young people the opportunity to access 1:1 support for those undergoing transitions, self-management courses and support from a peer mentor.

Please note that due to recent changes in our funding, from 1 April 2019 Changing Minds will only be available to 16-25 year olds living in Newport. If you live outside of Newport, please contact your local Mind. 

Families First

We also have support for families via our Families First Service
