Run the Newport Marathon in aid of Newport Mind

Physical activity is proven to help improve low mood and other mental health problems. So why not take up an active challenge and fundraise for Newport Mind at the same time?

Application Deadline

Please note that registration for the Newport Marathon and 10K closes at midnight on Sunday 14 April - therefore, any applications we receive for a charity place after Monday 8 April are subject to availability of places. Thank you for your understanding.

Sunday 5 May 2019

In 2018, our marathon team raised over £10,000 for Newport Mind! Will you join the Newport Mind team in 2019?

We are offering a limited number of free charity places in the marathon and 10K - all we ask for in return is that you raise at least £200 in aid of Newport Mind.

By signing up with Newport Mind, you'll get:

- A free place to the Newport Marathon (normally £52) or the 10K (normally £25) - including running number, timing chip, finishers medal and commemorative technical T-shirt

- Newport Mind running vest

- An exclusive rest area available only to Newport Mind runners (courtesy of University of South Wales)

- Water, sports drink and energy gels available along the route

- Our volunteer cheering squad, giving you support at locations along the route

If you are interested in taking part, email David.Hopkins@newportmind.org to find out more and to reserve your place.
